John Derevlany is a writer, creator, and showrunner of hit TV shows for children. He has written or co-written more than 20 pilots that have been greenlit into series.

He is currently developing multiplatform worlds and narratives as Head of Story for the prominent web3 brand, Pudgy Penguins.

Derevlany creates two types of projects: fast-paced, absurdist comedies, and sprawling, action epics.  He is also a master of the Super Narrative, a type of storytelling that seamlessly succeeds across multiple media and platforms.

Derevlany has also been a game designer, street artist, punk-rock ukulele player, and Crime Fight Chicken called Crackers. He got his start in animation as a staff writer on the Nickelodeon show, Angry Beavers. He is a dual U.S.-Canada citizen who lives in Culver City, CA, with his wife and two kids.
